Adalynn's Nursery
Addy's room is mostly done and I love the way it turned out. I was originally going to go with orange and teal, but got talked into orange and pink since she is a little girl. I made the curtains from white flat sheets and a panel of orange chevron fabric.
The poofs are made from orange and pink tule. The sheepskin rug is a gift from my Grandma.
I made the fish art from salvaged wood and acrylic paint. The dresser was an ugly brown and gold piece that we picked up from a thrift store. I filled in all of the holes from the ugly drawer pullers and painted it white. I found the wooden balls at a local hobby store and Jaxton helped me paint them orange.
In the other corner is a rocking chair and a pile of boxes. I need to go through the boxes and find a small end table to put a lamp and nursing necessities.
Big Brother
She's here! After 7 quick hours (compared to Jaxton's 14) Adalynn Louis arrived at 4:55am Thursday February 27th. She weighed 6lbs 4oz and was 19" long. My mom and dad were able to make the three hour drve and be there for her birth. My mom at my side with Robie and my dad occupying Jax.
Right after she was born Jax and my dad were standing outside the hospital room door and they could hear her first cries. Jax turned to my dad and said "She sounds like a little duck. Quack, quack." Even before meeting her he had given her her first nick name, Addy Duck.
Jaxton is an awesome big brother. He loves to give her kisses and bring her blankets.

Baby Sheep (aka lambs NOT goats)
One of my favorite Defensemen's sheep just had babies. Jax, Sid and I finally made it over to see them. Goodness! They are so cute.
Baby wanted kisses.
Saying 'hi'
Cousins? Second Cousins?
I don't know, they are cute together whatever they are.
A couple weeks ago cousin Nick was in Missoula for his State Hockey Tourney and his niece came to watch. She is a little over a year older than Jax and they played really well.

Christmas 2012
Merry (late) Christmas!
Ours was once again filled with good food and great family.
We spend Christmas Eve with Robie's mom and step-dad.
They spoild him with his first car :)
a hot wheels jeep that Jax drives around our living room,
I cannot wait for summer and he can drive it outside.
Christams Day was spent at my parents house where he was once again spoiled.
Jax was a great helper, he helped everyone rip open their presents.
Our tree all decorated
Jaxton was sick most of the holidays with a fever and runny nose.
Jax helping his dad put together his Jeep, and watching Scooby the next morning before heading to my parents.
This is what Jax looked like most of the week, luckily Robie had the week off and was able to lay around on the couch with him.
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
Christmas Cookies
On a lazy evening (last year :) Auntie Sid came over and "helped" us make sugar cookies.
I say helped but mostly she fed my kid sugar, took pictures and then wrestled all the sugar out of him.
Telling Momma what to do
Too big of a bite :P
I think it took me another 2 days before I frosted them,
after Jax went to bed

Happy Birthday Jaxton!
So I kinda got a birthday theme in my head and went with it, maybe a little too much?
Anyhoo, Jaxton's 2nd birthday was all about digging and construction.
I first found this cake here and things got crazy!

I first found this cake here and things got crazy!
And I made a shirt..
And we had black, orange and yellow EVERYTHING
including yellow caution tape
Showing off his boots
Opening the gift from Great-grandma & Pa
A tractor painting with lights that light up
Jaxton's face after the lights were turned on
I love the stare down going on in this picture
Blowing out his candles
...and relighting them because he wanted to do it again
Playing in the cake....
His piece was apparently not big enough,
he joined me and was eating off of one side
while I cut the other
