On the Go Go Go

Oh man. It's time to baby proof the house.

I set little man on the couch the mail on the other end, turned my back to find the letter opener, turned back around and he was moving towards the mail.

I set him on the floor and he would only do it for paper...

 

Sometimes he gets all the way up on those knees but most of the time he just scoots and pushes.

Jumbo Teddy Bear

Yep, that's what the pattern said JUMBO.

But for some reason the 5ft part, or maybe I just didn't want to see that part.

Oh well it is done and Jaxton loves it, or maybe it is just the furry softness of the fabric but at least he is not afraid of it.

He loves the fabric so much when I came across this cute little guy I knew Jaxton needed one.
So I made one out of the scraps and put at rattle in it.
He takes Monster with him whenever he can

The pattern was really easy to read and follow except I must have done something wrong because the head and neck look more like a dog then a bear...

Half Birthday

I can't believe my little baby boy is now 6 months old. It seem like he is doing something new and exciting every day.
His first tooth popped out
His second is starting to show
He LOVES rice mush and helps guide the spoon into his mouth
He drank out of a sippy cup yesterday, but was not sure if he liked it or not
He sits up all by him self and can catch his balance if he starts to tip over
He turns in circles on his tummy and is super quick about it
Two days ago I caught him on the hands and knees rocking back and forth
He holds onto the edge of the ottoman and stands up

I am afraid that his is going to run before he walks or crawls, he never sits still! Maybe that is why he is such a good sleeper :)

Food, Glorious Food!

Oh boy our life just got a little crazier :)

We gave Jaxton his first 'solid' food this morning and boy did he LOVE it!

The first couple bites he was a little hesitant and not so sure but after a few more spoon fulls he was bouncing up and down lunging and grabbing for the spoon.

Calander Board

Yay I got a project finished, I have oh four or five projects that I am working on right now all waiting to be completed.

Before

This one I have have been planing for a while now but I just could not find the right frame. On Saturday my Mom, Sister, Jaxton an I went shopping. It took a little while and some digging through secondhand stores but I found one.

After

I sanded and painted the frame with left over paint from the island. The cork board I had left over from another project so I measured for a piece of glass to fill the rest of the frame and mounted all of it on two pieces of card board. Behind the glass I glued scrap booking paper the cover the cardboard. Then I cut strips of adhesive vinyl to make the calender grid and used my Cricut machine to cut the letters for the days of the week and the 'menu'. All of the vinyl is adhered to the back of the glass so if I ever want to change the paper pattern it will be a snap.

Now I need to find or make some cute thumbtacks for the cork side and make some kind of system to organize the bills that need paid each week. Currently they are just stuck to the fridge with heavy duty magnets.

Mothers Day (a little late)

Spring is finally here and we have been very busy playing outside and I am working a big new project for Jaxton, more on that soon.

It has been awhile so here are a few happenings.
