Cinnamon Popcorn

I don't think I have shared this recipe, at least I could not find it, but this is my favorite caramel corn of all time, something about the cinnamon. I make it at least three times during the fall and once again in the summer. But it is, well at least now it seems time consuming, and I was craving some the other night. So instead I made a bag of light butter popcorn drizzled it with half a stick of butter and the cinnamon sugar mix I usually put on toast.

It was pretty good, almost as messy to eat, but not chewy. So it will hold me off for a little while but I am going to need the warm chewy goodness soon :)

All Night Long

Monday morning I woke up at 3am looked at the clock and bolted out of bed.
See like clock work Little ManMan is awake and hungry at 9pm, midnight and again at 4am. I had gone to bed at 8 expecting to get a little nap in before he was awake and when I saw what time it was I immediately thought the worst and ran into his room.
Wouldn't you know it he was laying there sucking his thumb out like a light, so I gave him a kiss on the forehead and went back to sleep.

He slept a full 7 hours that night without waking, I was ecstatic but I didn't want to get my hopes up so I tried not to think about it too much. He had done this once before but I had had a glass of wine 3 hours before feeding him and there must have been a little left in my system.

Well he did it again last night, a full 7 hours of sleep. I feel amazing.

Now we just need to get him on a little better schedule, when he was up at 4 this morning he thought it was play time and mommy was not quite ready for that :)

Little ManMan

We had a little photo shoot yesterday, it started out a little rocky but once he pooped allover everything he got a little happier. Here are some of my favorite pictures.

Damn Dr

Jaxton had his two month check up this week and is growin like a weed. He is 11lbs 3oz, 23.5" long Dr. said everything looks and sounds good the he proceeded to stick my son 3 time with a needle. I have seen wetness in Jaxtons eyes before but that Dr. made tears roll down his face and make wet puddles on the bed under him, and he would not stop cryin until he was back in my arms.
But he was a trooper and only a little fussy that night when his fever spiked, and he slept most of the next day.

New Bag

So this bag was super easy to make, and I should be posting a tutorial on just how easy but I'm not.
It took me days to complete, I forgot to add a few things I wanted to, and I only got to work on it after dark when the lighting for pictures was horrible.
Yep those are my excuses.
That just means I get to make another one in another fabulous color so I can make a tutorial.
I needed a bigger bag, one that I can throw diapers and wipes and baby toys in and not need a separate diaper bag because I kept forgetting ours at home.
So I made one.
I spent a few days "shopping around" on the internet looking at different styles, then came up with one that would work for me, and was free (the fabric was some I bought on clearance looooong ago)
There is one small built in pocket on the side, but as I found out that is not enough.
I miss all the pockets on the outside of my old purse.
So next on my sewing list, a few zippered pouches to organize things.

Smiley Boy

Little ManMan has been smiling an giggling like crazy.

He loves it when we play with his nose and lips. It always gets a big smile out if him.

I finally got a few pictures of it, they are a little blurry but still the cutest thing I have ever seen!

The worst part about digital cameras....I don't have any prints to show people or keep in a scrap book. I am going to have to get a lot better about visiting the photo center.

He also took his first real bath with Mommy this past week. He loved it! He lounged around for a while then started kicking and splashing. We are going to have a little fish on our hands I just know it.



Christmas in January

I'm going to take you back almost one month to Christmas Eve at my in laws.

Imagine my surprise and excitement when there is a Cricut machine under the tree with my name on it!! I am just like a little kid and cannot wait to get home and play with it.

Once home I am a good Mommy and get Jaxton down to bed before tearing into the box and setting it up.

Now imagine my disappointment when it is not cutting properly, just scratching the surface. I go to bed confused and sad knowing that the next day, Christmas was jam packed with more family and I would not be able to tinker with it.

When I finally get a chance to sit down and look for help on the Internet I find a couple possible solutions, but none of them work for me. So I have to call Cricut, the want me to send it back, I do and wait patiently by the window awaiting the delivery of my toy.

I couple weeks later we got home from running errands and there was a small package from ParvoCraft on my doorstep. Turns out for some reason they send me a Gypsy instead of a Cricut. So after another call they send me another return packing slip and a week later another box shows up.

This time a much bigger box and exactly what I wanted.  I got a couple quick crafts in and I have ideas for many more.
