Adalynn's Nursery

Addy's room is mostly done and I love the way it turned out. I was originally going to go with orange and teal, but got talked into orange and pink since she is a little girl. I made the curtains from white flat sheets and a panel of orange chevron fabric.

The poofs are made from orange and pink tule. The sheepskin rug is a gift from my Grandma.

I made the fish art from salvaged wood and acrylic paint. The dresser was an ugly brown and gold piece that we picked up from a thrift store. I filled in all of the holes from the ugly drawer pullers and painted it white. I found the wooden balls at a local hobby store and Jaxton helped me paint them orange.

In the other corner is a rocking chair and a pile of boxes. I need to go through the boxes and find a small end table to put a lamp and nursing necessities.

Big Brother

She's here! After 7 quick hours (compared to Jaxton's 14) Adalynn Louis arrived at 4:55am Thursday February 27th.  She weighed 6lbs 4oz and was 19" long. My mom and dad were able to make the three hour drve and be there for her birth. My mom at my side with Robie and my dad occupying Jax.

Right after she was born Jax and my dad were standing outside the hospital room door and they could hear her first cries. Jax turned to my dad and said "She sounds like a little duck. Quack, quack." Even before meeting her he had given her her first nick name, Addy Duck.
Jaxton is an awesome big brother. He loves to give her kisses and bring her blankets.

Adalynn Louis is a family name. Adele from my side and Lynn is Robie's mom's middle name. Robie's middle name is Lou, from his grandfather, Louis.
